We specialize is honeymoon tree houses. Each one is unique, romantic and really special. They all have stunning views, large romantic baths, cosy tented bedrooms, handcrafted and antique furniture.

We find a gap in the forest and build in the gap without disturbing the protected trees. So the shape of the tree houses evolve organically around the trees..

LOURIE'S NEST
Nestled in the trees and protected by a huge yellowwood, we named it during the design phase when 6 Knysna Lourie's chose to nest in the nearby trees.

This nest is definitely designed for two, with a large, warm glass-enclosed sunken bath for both of you, a rounded love bench and lots of privacy. Secure and snug you will be enfolded in its embrace.

A pretty kitchen crafted from rich red Kari wood is offset with touches of creamy pine. Antique and rustic blackwood furniture with flowering netting creates an enchanting bedroom.

MOON OVER MILKWOOD
Equally romantic honeymoon tree house, situated far from the main entertainment area with a splendid view over the indigenous forest, out towards the Outeniqua Mountains. On the sunny entrance deck is a comfy 'throne', a great place to watch the moon rise over a huge milkwood, relax, read a book, or chat to someone in the kitchen.

Access to the tree house is through the forest and onto a ramp leading into the enclosed hand-crafted kitchen located at the rear of the treehouse. Walk through into a wonderful bedroom with a Blackwood rustic headboard and an antique wardrobe.

Outside to the front of the tree house, is a deck containing a sunken bath, built in benches, a viewing perch and lots more. Climb the viewing perch and watch the eagles soar over the trees. Or count the spectacular night stars in the black African sky. A newly completed side glassed in sun room has wonderful gorge views. Don't forget the oysters and champagne .....

GREENBEARD
If peace, tranquility and fresh air appeal, this is the place to be! Romantic, private and in the trees.

Greenbeard is set deep in the gorge surrounded by indigenous trees. This tree house was originally designed as wheelchair friendly so has large doorways, and easy roll-on access throughout. It was just so pretty we decided to upgrade it to our third honeymoon tree house and include a large bath for 2 on the front deck, separate from the shower.

One wall of the kitchen opens onto the side balcony, adding fun in bringing the outside inside. The forest entrance is lit with pretty fairy lights. Old Man's beard is a sign of the health of the air and grows in abundance on the yellow wood trees in the gorge.

But each tree house improves with age. Guests have always loved this tree house. We recently added a bay window into the bedroom so its more spacious and a new view deck.

GORGE VIEW
Gorge View tree house is deep in the indigenous forest gorge. Experience the gentle sounds of birdsong and the soft gurgle of the river water far below.

The tree house has a large antique king size bed. The decor combines antique and rustic furniture most effectively. The kitchen has handmade solid wood chunky furniture.
It has large enclosed lounge with 3.6m glass sliding doors overlooking the gorge. A romantic sunken bath glassed in and with the same stunning view out over the forested gorge. Extended decks, and wonderful views. I just love it !
