DON'T COME IF .....

For some people Teniqua Treetops is not the right destination and they would rather be in a hotel. Even though it is a very small percentage, we still feel bad when it happens. So, if you are not sure, please read this page first.

98% of our guests love Teniqua Treetops. It is an authentic indigenous forest hideout. They come back, tell their friends and frequently tell us its the best holiday destination they have ever been to


But 2%, really don't like it.
For your sake and ours, please read on....


There are few areas of pristine natural forest left. This is one of them. And, we actively try to preserve it.


If you are someone who has phobias about flora or fauna;
trees, plants, birds, wild animals, insects, snakes, butterflies, moths, tame animals ...... don't come


We won't, don't, can't fumigate the forest...so, if you would rather be in a sterile environment ...... don't come


Horses, dogs, cats and a few other domestic animals share our home. They may well come and say hello..... if you don't like animals, this is not for you


We have never had a snake in a tree house. Most snakes will run from you. They're more scared of you than you are of them.
There can be an occasional rain spider; they are large and harmless.
There are long-handled feather dusters to chase them out back into the forest.....


If you love / need shopping-mall culture - then Teniqua Treetops is probably not for you. You may not see anyone else throughout your entire stay here. Or you may....


Our luxurious baths and showers are open to the forest, no-one but animals or birds can see you. If that's against your religious beliefs, you won't be happy here
